How do you find a Short-term Let through the Corporate & Relocation Services team?
The process of finding a short-term let through the Corporate & Relocation Services Team is the same as any normal let, except you'll be assigned a specialist account manager to guide you through the process. They'll find out your exact requirements and provide you with detailed advice on budget, location and any other variables that will help you to make the best decision. When you're ready, we will arrange, with you or your employee, for you to see some suitable properties. What do you need to secure a Short-term Let?
The process of securing a short-let is slightly different to a normal longer-term let. Please see an outline below of what is required:
- Rental payment for the full period in advance
- A deposit of 4 weeks' rent
- An administration fee of £270 (incl. VAT)
- Photo ID for the proposed occupant
- The cost of a check-in (including inventory) of £144 (incl. VAT) - the landlord pays for the check-out at the end of the tenancy
Why choose a Short-term Let over a Hotel?
There are some fantastic hotels in London offering an excellent service, but ultimately you are always under their rule and can lack privacy. Hotels are, invariably, excellently located for convenience but this generally means the area is also crowded. You may wish to stay slightly off the tourist trail, perhaps in a more suburban area, or possibly in a portered block overlooking the Thames. A strong attribute to renting a property rather than staying in a hotel is that you get a feel for actually 'living' in London, rather than just 'staying' a while. Most importantly however, short-lets are generally cheaper than the average London Hotel. This can lead to a significant saving, especially if the stay is relatively long, i.e. two months or more.To summarise, short-lets give you the freedom and flexibility to live much more like a local and can also save you money!
