At the tamer end, the teams have had plenty of requests for staff accommodation, hot tubs and swimming poolsrecently, but the most popular requirement after the number of bedrooms appears to be good old-fashionedsouth-facing outside space. Off-street parking isnt far behind, followed by a separate home office or studio.In terms of local amenities, the holy trinity of transport links, shops and London parks show no signs of beingtoppled, says the firm, and were cited by all Marsh & Parsons agents polled.
Location-based requests varied from office to office of course; in Kensington its all about a spot near Hyde Parkor Kensington Gardens, while the duck pond was found to be the focus for most searches in Barnes. Schoolcatchment areas trumped every other local amenity apart from outside space though.
Interiors-wise, almost a third of M&P agents reckon wooden floors are the most popular style trend at themoment, just ahead of bi-fold doors. Ikat patterns and prints are also proving popular by the sounds of things.Meanwhile, a quarter cited integrated AV systems as a must-have for top-end London purchasers right now, withSonos picked out as the brand of choice.
Other popular features include temperature-controlled wine cellars and log burners.
