Living the dream

A relationship is like a shark it has to constantly move forward or it dies. I think what we have on our hands is a dead shark Alvy Singer (Woody Allen in Annie Hall).
The property market, if you read the press, or listen to the friends or relatives of would-be buyers (after all, everyone is an expert!) is in a constant state of boom or bust and over recent months weve been hearing an awful lot about a bubble and how it is about to burst. Here at the coal face however, far from being a dead shark, the market in Holland Park remains in the fettle and looks highly likely to continue swimming forwards into the foreseeable future. It is true that there has been something of a frenzy going on in the sub 2,000,000 market and sellers of first floor or raised ground floor apartments are presently identified by their exceedingly broad grins. However, while it has been sealed bids and record prices for that particular segment of the market here on the leafier side of W11 and W14 is moving along nicely, without the slightest hint of hysteria or risk of being popped. Still swimming forwards but at variable speeds.
