Peter Rollings commenting following the latest house price figures from the Land Registry
Wed 28 Oct 2009
"London remains on course for a positive annual change in houses prices by the end of the year. The sheer number of buyers in the London market proves theres an enormous appetite for quality property. Prices are rising most quickly in prime central London areas, such as Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster which already boasts higher prices than a year ago where demand has been boosted by renewed confidence amongst City buyers ready to invest their bonuses and a swathe of international buyers looking to take advantage of a weak pound and before prices rise higher. But supply is also rising, which will help to keep prices in the capital in check. We have 44 percent more properties for sale than two months ago and, if this trend continues, prices will stabilise in the coming months and the healthy recovery of the property market will continue."-ENDS -
