Fabians 27m house
For a couple of socialists, Sidney and Beatrice Webb certainly lived well. Despite being core members of the Fabian Society which believes in advancing socialism through reformist, rather than revolutionary, means they resided in this 9,000 sq ft mansion, spread across six floors in South Kensington. The Webbs also cofounded the London School of Economics and New Statesman magazine.
The house, which has six bedrooms and a roof terrace with views over Hyde Park, is on sale for 27m.
