Cara can wash all her cares away in LA
Model of the moment Cara Delevingne is said to be moving into best friend Rihanna's home during the summer.
Delevingne, 20, who grew up in a Belgravia townhouse, will be able to use her pop star pal's Los Angeles base as
a retreat following hectic months of catwalk shows and photo shoots.
In the upmarket Pacific Palisades neighbourhood, the 7.9 million property, which the Diamonds singer bought in
December, couldn't be more relaxing. The bedrooms overlook a mood-lit pool and Jacuzzi and the open-plan
living area includes a bar. With Rihanna on a UK tour in June, the fashionable friends might consider a house
Mischa Barton rents out her Beverly Hill home
Actress-turned-fashion designer Mischa Barton is letting her Beverly Hills home for an eye-watering 23,000 a
month - though recent aerial pictures suggest that tenants may have to put up with building work next door.
Hammersmith-born Barton, 27, is more likely to be spotted in Spitalfields these days, where her fashion boutique
is based. "So proud of how well the London store is doing," she recently tweeted.
Across the Pond, she has chosen the rental option after her eight-bedroom pad failed to sell in 2011 for 5.7
Jamie's set to break a record - even without a view
If broadcaster Jamie Theakston sells his house for its 6.5 million asking price he'll set a new record for Chiswick
homes without a river view.
Designer Jasper Conran can claim to have achieved the highest price in W4 when he parted with his stunning
Thames-side property there for 12.5 million in 2008.
Theakston's Barrowgate Road home, on with Hamptons International, compensates with five bedrooms,
his-and-hers dressing areas, and a very impressive garden terrace. Visit homesandproperty.co.uk/barrowgate.
Olivier, Harold Wilson and Dylan Thomas were here
The former studio of British artist Ruskin Spear is for sale. Willoughby House, built in 1840 and overlooking
Ravenscourt Park, was where Spear painted scenes of Hammersmith life and his famous portraits of Laurence
Olivier and Harold Wilson.
Current owner Sarah Fairbairn, who turned the studio into a luxurious six-bedroom home, has listed the
impressive property for 4 million with Marsh & Parsons.
"Spear also used to paint characters from the pub opposite," she says. "A sweet old lady once called in and told
me that people such as Dylan Thomas would come here. It is a great party house."
In the summer, celebrations can be taken outside to the lovely 80ft garden - a pretty picture in itself.
