Mon 08 Apr 2013
"The news that London continues to outperform the country comes as no great surprise however the fact that transactions levels have risen is more significant. The market in London is buoyant but relies on supply and demand and currently demand is far outstripping supply.
"Its good news that transactions are generally up as the housing market needs to be fluid. However, a shortage of news homes coming onto the market is still keeping prices on an upwards projectory.
"We anticipate a greater supply of new instructions as the weather improves and sentiment, reflected by this survey, is more positive."
