Peter Rollings' press response to HMRCs Property Transaction Statistics
Thu 20 Jun 2013
"The UK housing market continues to bloom into summer, and all the signs point towards significantly improved conditions. Transactions may not be at the dizzy heights of the 2007 peak but the pleasing pick up in the number of homes being sold is testament to a growing confidence in the market. This mornings figures provide yet more evidence that the Governments stimulus initiatives are beginning to clear the backlog of those waiting for the right time to move.
"The rapidly improving availability of mortgages has created an increased confidence in the market, making it an excellent time to sell property. At Marsh & Parsons, weve experienced a 9% increase in the number of those registered to buy property in May, as both domestic and international buyers flock to the market."
