How do you find a short-term let through the Corporate & Relocation Services Team?

The process to search for a short-term let through the Corporate & Relocation Services Team is exactly the same as any normal let. We are here to simplify the process and ensure we are achieving the best levels of service. The first step is to call or email the team here and you will be assigned a specific Account Manager. The Account Manager will chat to you about your requirements to ensure that we have an accurate idea of exactly what you're looking for, whilst providing you with detailed advice on budgets, areas and any other variables that will help you to make a rounded decision. When you're ready to view the suitable properties, we will arrange this around you and/or your employee. Whether you’re an HR, Mobility or Relocation professional, or a private individual looking for short-term accommodation in London, we can help.

What do you need to secure a short-term let?

The process of securing a short-let is slightly different to a normal longer term let. Please see an outline below of what is required:

  • Rental for the full period in advance
  • A deposit of 4 weeks rent
  • An administration fee of £170+VAT
  • Photo ID for the proposed occupant
  • Cost of a check-in (including inventory) £99+VAT. The landlord pays for the check-out at the end of the tenancy

Why choose a short-let over a hotel?

There are some fantastic hotels in London offering an excellent service, but ultimately you are always under their rule. You are not free to cook your own meals, watch your own television or relax in your own garden. Hotels are invariably excellently located for convenience but this generally means you are going to be in a busy area. You may wish to stay slightly off the tourist trail, perhaps in a more suburban area, or possibly in a portered block overlooking the Thames. Most importantly however, short-lets are generally cheaper than the average London Hotel. This can lead to a significant saving, especially if the stay is relatively long, i.e. 2 months or more.

To summarise, short-lets give you the freedom and flexibility to live much more like a local and can also save you money!

Marsh & Parsons understand the importantance of a quick response in the unlikely event of any maintenance issues, which is why we always professionally manage our short-let properties. This means that as well as your Corporate Account Manager, you will also have a dedicated point of contact within Marsh & Parsons to deal with any maintenance issues/problems as quickly as possible. Our Property Management team has access to an extensive list of contractors for any eventuality meaning that we can always find someone to deal with the problem, straight away.

Anything Else?

If you require anything specific with your short-let it is likely that we have the contractors to help. Weekly cleaners, maid service, whatever it might be don’t hesitate to ask and we will do our best to provide it!
