Who's Who at Marsh & Parsons
...we've created a culture that puts getting better results first for our clients...
Our theory is that whichever agent you choose, it's their people who will decide the result you get and make or break the experience you have. So we think very carefully about who works for us and we've created a culture that puts getting 'better results' for our clients, at the top of everybody's agenda.
In practice, our people go to great lengths to get better results. But they're also personable, pleasant to deal with, well-informed and highly professional.
Marsh & Parsons employs over 200 people across our network of 19 offices in central, west and south west London. You can meet the managers of our offices here, but here's a bit about our Directors...
Peter Rollings FRICS, Chief Executive
Described by The Negotiator Magazine as being a strong contender for Britain’s most successful estate agent, Peter Rollings was one of the key players in the expansion of Foxtons throughout the eighties and nineties. He started his estate agency career in the Lane Fox country house department in 1982, staying three years before moving to Foxtons where he rose to become managing director from 1997 to 2005.
He left in 2005 to purchase long-established central London agents Marsh & Parsons. He went on to buy south west London agency Vanstons and now runs a successful network of 19 offices in central, south and south west London with a focus on sales, lettings, property management, new homes and investments. With his in-depth knowledge of the London residential market he has become a regular media commentator on the residential property market. More recently, Peter has been invited to become a fellow member of RICS, where he is recognised and respected for his "excellence and integrity" within the property industry. Fellows are described as "leaders in their field, people who have undertaken notable projects or made a special contribution to the profession."
Liza-Jane Kelly, Sales Director
Originally from Dublin, Liza-Jane Kelly has over 20 years experience of working in the property market. Starting in 1993 with Ireland’s largest estate agent, Sherry FitzGerald, Liza-Jane moved over to London in 1999 to join Hamptons International where having turned their Islington business into one of their top performing offices at the time, she went on to run their flagship branch in Knightsbridge. In 2005, Liza-Jane used her genuine passion for property and successful track record within central London, to become the Sales Director and equity partner of Marsh & Parsons. Joining Peter Rollings, Liza-Jane was an integral part in establishing what is now considered to be one of London’s most reputable Estate Agents.
Patrick Littlemore, Lettings Director
Patrick moved to London from Australia in 1999 to complete his postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Music. He started a job with Hamptons International and within a year was lettings manager of their Islington office. Patrick has created efficient and professional lettings teams all over London from Islington to Richmond and having been an area manager covering the Richmond, Wimbledon and Chiswick areas he left to join Marsh & Parsons to set up the new Chelsea lettings office. In September of 2006 Patrick took over the south & west lettings regions and established five new offices and lettings teams as part of Marsh & Parsons' rapid network expansion. He is now responsible for running the entire lettings department for Marsh & Parsons. Backed by his ARLA qualifications and understanding of the relevant legislation, he has always offered the market a 'Lettings Service' that achieves great results and establishes effective client/agent relationships.
Keith Gorny, Director
Keith Gorny started in Estate Agency shortly after graduating from Exeter University in 1993. Having spent a couple of years in Faron Sutaria’s successful Chiswick office he transferred to their Notting Hill operation where he oversaw house sales, spending several years developing their Notting Hill business. During this time Keith enjoyed the different challenges of working through the market’s tremendous capital growth of the late nineties, the dot com bust, the Russian currency crisis and the transformation of Notting Hill into the world renowned location it is today. He later went on to set up and run a successful W2 office based in the new West End Quay development. Joining Marsh & Parsons in 2005, Keith became a Director and equity partner and is responsible for the success of what is now, both Notting Hill and Holland Park's largest and most successful Estate Agency branches.
Emilie Thysse, Training & Development Director
A Bristol University modern languages graduate, Emilie Thysse (neé Dawes) started her career in 2001 as a lettings negotiator for Foxtons under Peter Rollings' directorship. She rose quickly through the ranks to become Lettings Valuer in Chiswick and soon after opened and established their new Richmond branch, which she successfully ran for over three years until leaving Foxtons in early 2005, to take over the Chelsea office of a top London Estate Agent. In October 2005, she was reunited with Peter Rollings to run the Central London Lettings & Corporate Services departments. Her in-depth knowledge of the business and vast sales experience has naturally led Emilie to taking on the role of Training & Development Director, supporting the rapid growth and training needs of Marsh & Parsons.
Craig Tonkin, Director & Sales Manager of the Kensington Office
Craig has over 17 years experience working in the property industry. He began his career in his hometown of St Ives, Cornwall before moving to London in 1998 to join a well-known London estate agency. In 2005, Craig joined the Marsh & Parsons team as the Sales Manager of the Kensington branch. He very quickly transformed the office into one of the company's most successful estate agency branches. Craig has since joined the board of directors where his wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge of the business has contributed to Marsh & Parsons' ambitions for further growth within the London property market.
Beth Hilson, Marketing Director
Beth graduated from Bristol UWE in 2001 with a joint honours degree in Law & Marketing. Having spent several years working for property and marketing companies in both the UK and Australia, Beth moved to London to embark on a career in estate agency with the ambition of moving into a marketing role. She was working in the sales team when Marsh & Parsons was purchased by Peter Rollings and Liza-Jane Kelly in 2005 and, with her marketing experience, was invited to open the in-house marketing department soon after. At the time, Beth assisted with the re-launch of the brand and more recently, has joined the board of directors, where she will continue to advise on the marketing strategy for the intended growth of the company.
