"The recovery in house prices started in the capital and is now evident across the country. Underpinning this house price growth has been a shortage of supply of properties on the market. An improving outlook for the housing market will increase confidence amongst homeowners and end any remaining doubts about putting their homes onto the market. Easing the bottleneck will be good news for the property market by increasing levels of activity and helping to stabilise prices."
