Peter Rollings commenting on today’s figures from the Land Registry
"It’s not wonder prices in London are rebounding. The capital has had a lot of bad news over the last six months. But the drops in London have been very steep. Essetnailly the capital’s property market reacted very quickly to the changing market conditions and correcting far faster. The worst of the pain is over.
But the price rises are not uniform. For instance, while there’s still a good market for prime properties in Kensington and Chelsea - where prices have risen 11.9% in the last year - it’s less good at the other end of the spectrum.
With the London market back on the up, this is a good time to be buying in the capital - there are some very good buys out there at the moment."
